Adaptive Balancing Power initiates first tests for high power charging on public transport

The need for high-frequency ultra-fast charging is especially high in local public transport. As an alternative to depot charging, where enormous battery capacities have to be installed in the buses, route charging involves charging the bus by pantograph during passenger boarding or alighting times or, for example, at terminal loops over a CCS plug connection. As a result, batteries can be kept small, resources saved and passenger capacities increased. With AMPERAGE, this now becomes possible everywhere.

In collaboration with the local public transport company VGG-Bensheim (VGG Reichelsheim (vgg-reichelsheim.de)) and an e-bus from the VDL Groep, we have already carried out initial tests. So stay tuned for more information to follow early next year!
